WHAT'S AN EXAMPLE OF PREVENTION THERAPY?
Refugeville can be real using prevention therapy. A family is
struggling from finicial debt. Husband works long hours, begins to relieve
stress by drinking with buddies while discusing how unhelpful wife is at
home. He comes home drunk and begins to take out his anger and stress
on wife. She flees with children to a neighbor. The neigbor knows
about Refugeville and helps wife contact Refugeville. Staff of the City
go to husband at work to encourage him to come to the City. They
explain benefits and warns him of problems if he doesn't get help. Hecides
he will go. Other staff take wife and children to another part of City
that will house them during the time of therapy. Children will be
given educational help if school age. (ex:Bus to school, meal tickets).
Wife receives counseling. Husband receives counseling while staying in
another place of City. Counselers will help him
to cope with stress, stop drinking, maybe start job skills training
classes. Both will have family counsel about finicial managment,
marriage, any other area needed. The family returns home. Follow up will be
provideed.
This is only example. Each case is handled in light of needs. Jesus
Christ will be focus for recovery.
WHAT'S THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE CITY?
Attention is given to Spiritual, physical, mental, and social
wellbeing of all involved. Prayer, Bible study, meditation, stress managment,
anger managment, hydrotherapy, massage, nutrion counseling, outdoor
trails, and a swimming hole will be among the many options. Each case is
personalized. Rooms have hotel retreat features. Either dormrooms or
cabins. City setting in remote area outside of major cities on private
and. Clients will help with cleaning, gardening, and lawn care in
exchange for service. A green house garden will be used to provide foods.
Well water, septic thank, and solar powered generators will be used.
