WHY SO MUCH IMPRISONMENTS?

In today's society, families are broken up. Many factors are involved, imprisonment being our concern. People do stupid things. They get angery, somtimes they behave in ways that harm themself and others. The laws of the land help protect everyone from these people, by putting them in isolation, forcing them to rehab or life behind bars. Destruction is the result of such selfish behaviors. Families suffer in many areas such as support, money, protection, child loss of one or more parent, and family unit from two parent home to one parent home or no parents home. Family members suffer an isolation experience as well.

WHAT IS BEING DONE?

Rehab in prison, half-way housing for after care are examples of what is being done. A slow transition will allow the ex-prisoner to regain cizitionship. Bible studies, prayer groups, education, family counseling, community education on after-care are all examples of what is being done. Laws that give you a "right to know" where ex-prisoners live are here. You can go online and search for people's private address of ex-prisoners. Manly talking about sex abuse cases. It is interesting to note that inprisonment is not going away. More children are committing crimes with adult punishment. We will always have to help prisoners and their families.

WHAT IS NOT BEING DONE?

Little attention is given to prevention of imprisonment. These people are just like everyone else. They are not monsters from another planet we have to isolate. They have mothers and fathers, sisters and brother, family members. Not very many are born with a great desire to kill, rape, or steal. These people come from any denominations of faith. Yet if preventive options were given, maybe people will take responsiblity for own actions. Refugeville believes that resources should be made available to help families deal with problems affecting stress, money, social class, parenting, homelessness, jobless, lack of education, debt, housing, children in one parent homes, social, physical, mental, and Spiritual areas. Problems within home foster destructive behavior. Refugeville desires to provide resources for these members who are in trouble. What is not done is the love, counseling, and fostering of hope to families in need who maybe self-destroying themselves and others. What is not done is a Refuge, a City of Prevention. A place one can go to cool off, seek help before actions are taken that warrent them to be a prisoner. A place for family couseling, drug rehab, physical rehab, mental rehab, social rehab. A place of care and love. A place that uplights JESUS CHRIST has the answer.
